ABOUT

A true “continuation car “built to original homologated specification by Shelby American with aluminium body and correctly assigned the chassis number CSX 7963, sitting it alongside the multi-million dollar cars in the official Shelby registry.

 

Since it's build at the Shelby American Las Vegas facility, it has been upgraded to a full FIA race specification by the Bill Shepherd Automotive race team. This includes an Appendix K specification 289 race engine with appropriate weber carburettors, as well as a current set of HTP by Motorsport UK. The car also now sports a (removable) LeMans hardtop, but can still be used as a roadster.​

The car is a regular attendee at the Goodwood Members Meeting, having graced the meeting at every instance of the Graham Hill Trophy since it's inaugural entry in 2016, piloted by Bill but also by Jim Farley, CEO of Ford Global, and by Andy Priaulx, 3-time FIA World Touring Car champion.

Alternatively this exciting Cobra can be re- converted for road use very easily- or in current specification could be dual purpose.

This is the only new 50th Anniversary Cobra known in Europe and certainly the only one available for sale with a current HTP.

 

Offered in the striking team colours of Viking Blue with Red nose ID stripe as per # 146, Dan Gurney 1964 Targa Florio, this car offers a blue-chip opportunity. 

 

Investments simply shouldn't be this exciting.

Ford 289 built by the Peter Knight engine company. All-legal rocker gear and FIA correct carburettors etc.

MSD ignition system.

EXHAUST SYSTEM

Bespoke fabricated stainless steel exhaust system. The car can run flat out at all test/ track days (105db and above) with no noise regulation issues at all.

GEARBOX

Alloy T10 gearbox.

BRAKES

Updated Bill Shepherd Automotive pistons with Carbone Lloraine brake pads w/ titanium backing plates. Fully braided brake lines etc.

 

SUSPENSION

Koni adjustable shocks
